Sammie Doo Melon,
My life is blessed daily by you. You make me laugh, keep me grounded, tell me when to "put down your phone", you love SO big, your heart is so caring for others, you are smarter than you think, more stunning than you could ever realize, you are a phenomenal young lady. Your Mama could NOT be any prouder of the young woman you are growing to be. YOU. are. AMAZING!
I love you... to heaven and back.
Could have broken me. It could have been the worst day ever.
My camera was stolen.
But. I made a choice. I made a choice to first and foremost not let it define me. Second, be grateful that I have a back up camera.
I also made another choice...
To take my family outside and capture them.
The people that inspire me to be better. The people who watch me to see how I will react and behave when life throws curve balls. The people who are my greatest gifts. The people I treasure more than a thing. The people who inspire me, motivate me, and see my worth. And we had fun. The people I love the most are the ones who I was able to pull it together and keep fighting for. See, my camera is not just the thing that I use to put food on the table. My camera is an extension of me.
It is replaceable.
The people above are not. They are what I cherish most.
They are also the reason that I am not going to give up.
I am now more motivated to make "Kathryn Hope Photography" a successful business. I am motivated to come back even stronger.
I will. I am a fighter.
So, thank you to the person who thought they could violate and break me.
I am not out of the fight.
I've just gotten stronger.
These beautiful ladies are all auditioning for Savannah Arts Academy. I was blessed to be able to capture these young ladies.
Each one of them have different talents, but all are incredibly beautiful inside and out.
I am so proud of you all.
Your future is waiting for you!
God Bless you all!
I am grateful to you both for what you have taught me with your bond. Individually you have given me more than I can describe. I love you, both, more than you could possibly know.
My BABY is 10.
My first born. My mini-me. My girl.
My tickle bug.
Has my heart.
10 years ago today at 12:18pm, after 18 hours of labor and 3.5 hours of pushing…YOU changed my life.
Instantly, I was different.
I saw your beautiful face and I wanted nothing more than to protect you.
Hold you close.
Be there for everything you do.
See your smile at every minute.
YOU are the most amazing young woman. I am utterly proud of you. You have been through so much and you push hard even when you want to give up.
At 22 weeks pregnant I made up this crazy little song that I began singing to you. You ask me to sing it every night to you. Even if its on the phone. You won’t sleep without hearing it. So, for the rest of your life…you can read these words that were in my heart and I have sung to you daily. To many…to most…they won’t have a rhyme or rhythm, but they are for you. They are the words that I meant at that time and still mean to this day:
“Alex, baby Alex, you’re the prettiest girl in the entire world, you’re Mama’s baby girl.”
I love you to the moon and back.
